Northern Ireland - County Down

There is a small visitor centre at Grey Abbey where you can see some of the artifacts they found on the site. These include a sandstone effigy of a knight dated around 1300 and a sandstone carving of a woman thought to be a monument to Affrica, founder of the Abbey, dated in the 1200s.
